Josiah Oyakonghan (aka Oyimi), the former warlord of the defunct Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, MEND, and chairman of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Dreams of Niger Deltans, MADND, has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to hand over the presidency to Goodluck Jonathan, a Southerner, in 2023.
During a news conference, the ex-militant leader stated that Nigerians can only put their faith in Goodluck Jonathan to deal with the country’s numerous challenges.
“First and foremost, our heartfelt greetings to all Nigerians on this Easter, especially President Buhari,” he stated. We are using this Easter celebration to urge Nigerians to continue to support President Buhari’s government in order for him to fulfill the promise of change that we all want to see, as well as to push for Jonathan’s return to the Villa.
