Actors Guild Threatens to Expose Homosexuals in Nollywood.

The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), an umbrella organization that regulates and represents the interests of film actors in Nigeria and abroad, has launched a campaign to combat bisexual harassment, rape, and molestation in Nollywood, encouraging any actor who has been sexually abused to come forward and speak out, and promising to investigate any case brought to their attention.

In an Instagram post, the guild’s national president, Emeka Rollas, who spoke on behalf of the guild, provided email addresses for anyone who wanted to make a complaint.

“In Nollywood, the issue of sex for roles, molestations, and rape by homosexuals and bisexuals has gotten frightening.” Following an outburst on Twitter a few weeks ago, the Guild launched an inquiry into allegations and counter-accusations leveled at certain male producers whose sexuality is questioned.

“To get to the root of this, we are calling on all sexually abused or molested persons to send in reports to this emails: and or” Emeka posted.

The post didn’t give a clue to who the guild was referring to, but it will be recalled that last week, Nigerian skit maker and comedian, Abdulgafar Ahmad, popularly known as Cute Abiola, was called out for alleged sex for roles schemes and romantic affairs with curvy Nollywood actress, Omoborty.
