Reports reaching sport pundits have that incoming Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has given the go-ahead for 10 Red Devils players to leave the club this summer in order to trim his team.
The Dutchman wants to offload the players this summer and may opt to sell captain Harry Maguire.
The former Ajax manager agreed to a three-year contract at Old Trafford in April and arrived into England from Amsterdam earlier this week to begin his mission of restoring the club to its former glory.
Ten Hag will meet with the Manchester United team on Monday for a formal introduction as he prepares to begin his term at Old Trafford.
He will oversee a major overhaul this summer and has already identified up to 10 first-team players he expects to leave United.
Ten Hag has reportedly opened the door for Eric Bailly and Phil Jones to leave.
Others are goalkeeper Dean Henderson, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard, Edinson Cavani, Nemanja Matic, Juan Mata and Lee Grant.
The report further added that Ten Hag will consider getting rid of Manchester United captain Maguire if he’s able to bring in the likes of Ajax’s Jurrien Timber and Lisandro Martinez both linked with moves.
